The energy transition plays an integral role in mitigating the global climate crisis. TU Delft’s lustrum therefore draws the attention to this topic in the celebration of our 180th birthday. The Energy Access for All Programme - together with the Delft Energy Initiative - contributes to this ambition by shedding light on the energy access challenges worldwide, especially in Lower- and Middle Income Countries.
Join us in our first Energy Access Ideation Café, where scientists from different disciplines within the TU Delft meet industry experts in the field of global energy.
As the chair of TU Delft | Energy Initiative, Professor Kornelis Blok will kick-off the afternoon to introduce the university’s work and ambitions with regards to this topic.
We will continue with a panel discussion with Jelena Popovich (TU Twente), Frank van der Vleuten (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Thomas de Wijn (SolarWorks!), Elif Gül Demir (United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR))and Drew Corbyn (Gogla) in which we will go through the most pressing issues and how to tackle them.
Inspired by the discussion, you are warmly invited to join us in a brainstorm session in which we will co-create and work out novel project ideas focusing on solutions for global energy (access) challenges for LMICs. TU Delft | Global Initiative will assess together with you how to turn these ideas into fundable projects with for example Horizon Europe, NWO and foundations. We will conclude the day with network drinks and snacks.
Spots are limited, so be sure to register to save your place!
