Communication at Work

Do you feel comfortable working with others, or is it a source of your headache at work? Do you know why you can communicate with some people comfortably and others more challenging? If you want to feel more confident about your communication skills, this training is for you!

Communication is one of the most crucial soft skills for working professionals. How you interact with others impacts your relationship and sometimes even outcomes. It is nearly impossible to avoid influence from each other as long as you work with others. Yet, we have far fewer opportunities to polish communication skills for work compared to other work-related hard skills despite the fact that it could change the entire workplace dynamics. Let alone in a more diverse environment: communication skills play are vital for your performance!

In this training, we will first learn your unique communication tendencies at work, namely ‘communication style’. We will learn major communication styles as a foundation for understanding self and others, and you will develop your plan to use strengths or cope with weaknesses. Understanding different communication styles will make you feel more confident about working with others, especially in a culturally diverse environment.

Aim of the training:
The training aims to equip knowledge and skills for tuning your communication skills to perform wholly as a professional in a multicultural environment.

The goal of the training:
By the end of the training, you will be able to
  • Understand FOUR communication styles and their strengths/challenges
  • Understand your strengths and challenges in depth
  • Have your communication strategies to work with others more effectively
