Earlier, the province of Utrecht announced that from 2025, trams will be used more often on weekends. This is a long-cherished wish that has been fulfilled. As standard, the tram will run at FC Utrecht's Eredivisie matches and during open days of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Utrecht University. The tram will also run during the Utrecht Marathon on Sunday 18 May.
