DPTI workshop online communication

Whether it is a talk at a conference, a networking event, a working class, or a job interview, most of our communication is still happening via a computer screen. To support our PhDs, postdocs, and PDEng's in this time of continued online activities, the DPTI is offering the workshop "Scientists on Stage", designed and facilitated by Dr. Maria Sovago of Stralia.

Two cohorts of 20 participants will attend the workshop on June 10 and 24.

Date: June 10 + 24, 2021 (the workshops are full as we speak)

Internal DPTI competition for research ideas

DPTI is active in five clusters: Food & Pharma; Energy; Water Processing; Solid & Fluid Mechanics; Processing of Advanced Materials. An important role of these clusters is to initiate new research projects.

DPTI has now decided to stimulate this with a competition for seed proposals. Teams of assistant and associate professors can propose novel ideas for a small project (e.g. an MSc thesis project), and win up to 5000 Euro to support it. We aim to support five of such ideas. The brainstorm session for these ideas is on July 1 (13:30-17:00), the presentation and award session on July 8 (13:30-17:00). DPTI faculty are encouraged to reserves these times slots in their calendar (an Outlook invitation will follow).
