I was previously active in the Process & Product Technology Institute as the Food and Pharma cluster leader. That role allowed me to actively participate in scientific discussions to further intertwine TU Delft process technology research and I spearheaded a seed project to diversify TU Delft’s process technology portfolio to include the field of cell therapy production. During that period, I was impressed by the significant impact that this TU Delft institute has on the development of research lines, while maintaining a close connection to industrial needs. The continuing enthusiasm of the organization to evolve process technology research potential made me highly motivated to contribute to this effort, and that is the reason I joint the institute’s management team.
In addition to committing to the overall mission of the Process and Product Technology Institute, I will be managing the process technology education portfolio. As PI from the Biotechnology department at the faculty of Applied Sciences, I believe that I provide a unique perspective to process technology needs and I intend to strengthen the output of this institute by keeping the most recent developments and opportunities in the field of bioprocessing close under the radar.
Finally, I would like to thank my colleagues at the Process & Product Technology Institute for the opportunity to join the management team. I am looking forward to our future collaboration and catching up at the upcoming drinks. |
