ARCNL's 10th anniversary |
The coming year promises to be a special one for ARCNL with festivities surrounding ARCNL’s 10th anniversary. What started in 2014 with Joost Frenken as first employee in an empty building has now grown into a full-fledged research institute with about 100 employees, of which 65 researchers. At the moment plans are being made to celebrate with all those that have been part of the journey this past decade. |

Veni for John Sheil |
After starting as ARCNL group leader in 2021, John Sheil has recently received a VENI grant from NWO. This will allow him to further develop his theoretical research to enable more sustainable EUV sources for nanolithography over the next three years. In addition to the grant, Sheil also got full tenure at the Vrije Universiteit. |

Open Day |
Together with other institutes at Amsterdam Science Park, ARCNL opened its doors to the public on October 7th. The Open Day attracted many visitors, ranging from families with kids to individual visitors that were eager to learn more about the nanolithography process. This year Oscar Versolato gave a popular lecture about ‘smartphones, chips and atoms’. |
