Met deze mail valt de allerlaatste nieuwsbrief van het Versnellingsplan in je mailbox. Vier jaar Versnellingsplan zit er eind deze maand officieel op. Wij kijken terug op vier enerverende jaren.

Veel dank aan de collega's in de instellingen, de mensen die het Versnellingsplan hebben gevolgd en met ons hebben samengewerkt. Samen hebben we innovatie in het hoger onderwijs in een hogere versnelling gezet. We wensen jullie veel inspiratie voor 2023 en hopen jullie dan weer tegen te komen!

Glossy
In november publiceerden we VP. dé glossy van het Versnellingsplan. In de glossy hebben we vier jaar versnellen samengevat in 114 pagina’s interviews, portretten, reflecties en columns. Deze eenmalige glossy laat de mensen achter het Versnellingsplan zien en het werk dat ze de afgelopen jaren hebben verzet. Je leest de glossy hier.

Aflevering 6 van De Onderwijsvernieuwers
Virtual Reality (VR) en Artificial Intelligence (AI) bieden veel kansen en mogelijkheden in het onderwijs. Hoe zetten we deze technologie effectief in voor het verrijken van de leerervaring van studenten? Wat vraagt dit van de docent en hoe ondersteun je die daarin? In aflevering zes gaan we hierover in gesprek met Kim Schildkamp (hoogleraar data geïnformeerd werken aan de Universiteit Twente en aanvoerder van de zone Docentprofessionalisering) en Stan van Ginkel (hoofddocent aan de Hogeschool Utrecht en verbonden aan het lectoraat betekenisvol digitaal innoveren). Gezocht: EdTech-vraagstukken uit het onderwijs (mbo, hbo, wo)

Wil jij vanuit je onderwijsinstelling samenwerken met een start-up aan een innovatieve oplossing voor een uitdaging in het hoger onderwijs? In het voorjaar van 2023 start de tweede editie van Startup in Residence (SiR) EdTech. Vanuit het project worden onderwijsinstellingen gezocht die interesse hebben om mee te doen. Dit keer kan ook het mbo deelnemen. Lees hier meer.

Column Berent Daan: Op naar (1 mei) 2023

Berent Daan, per 1 januari directeur van de Digitaliseringsimpuls Onderwijs, schreef de laatste column voor het Versnellingsplan. Hij kijkt vooruit naar het nieuwe jaar en de start van de Digitaliseringsimpuls en de samenwerking met jullie, de collega's in het mbo, hbo en wo. Je leest de column hier.

Nieuws uit de zones: producten en resultaten

Digitale CompetentiePeiler
De vraag naar digitale competenties neemt in vrijwel alle beroepen toe. Aan hoger onderwijsinstellingen de taak om studenten voorbereid en digitaal bekwaam de arbeidsmarkt op te laten komen, en ze de mogelijkheid te bieden zich te blijven ontwikkelen. Daarvoor is de Digitale CompetentiePeiler van de zone Versterken van digitale human capital: een tool om digitale competenties te integreren in zowel opleidingsprofielen in het onderwijs als functieprofielen in het werkveld. Bekijk snel wat de Digitale CompetentiePeiler voor jouw opleiding kan betekenen.

Leermodule Programmatisch Toetsen
Programmatisch toetsen is hot. Maar wat is het nou eigenlijk precies? Hoe implementeer je het en wat komt daarbij kijken? De Leeromgeving programmatisch toetsen is bedoeld voor iedereen die meer wil weten over programmatisch toetsen of er mee aan de slag wil. De online leeromgeving is ontwikkeld onder redactie van Liesbeth Baartman, Tamara van Schilt-Mol en Jan Berends in samenwerking met de werkgroep Toetsen op afstand. Bezoek de leeromgeving hier.

Onderzoek zone Docentprofessionalisering: Innoveren kun je leren
De zone Faciliteren en professionaliseren van docenten heeft onderzoek gedaan hoe de ontwikkelde innovaties van de zone zijn geland bij de zestien onderwijsinstellingen die deelnemen aan de zone. Ook beschrijft het onderzoek de factoren die een rol spelen in het innovatieproces om van initiatie tot organisatieroutine te komen. Want: innoveren kun je leren! Lees het onderzoek hier.

Verduurzamingsstrategieën voor open leermaterialen
De zone Naar digitale (open) leermaterialen heeft strategieën verzameld van 16 projecten uit mbo, hbo en wo die vooraf, tijdens en na een dergelijk project zijn toegepast en die hebben bijgedragen aan verduurzaming van open leermaterialen. Deze strategieën zijn verzameld in een overzichtelijke infographic. Download de infographic hier.

Data journey platform voor slimmer gebruik studiedata
Welke toepassing van studiedata is relevant voor jou? Voor een student is het antwoord op deze vraag heel anders dan voor een bestuurder, onderzoeker of docent. De zone Veilig en betrouwbaar studiedata benutten heeft daarom een platform ontwikkeld waar je voorbeelden vindt van gebruik van studiedata, toegespitst op jouw rol. Nóg beter onderwijs ontwikkelen: Position paper Evidence-informed
Energietransitie, klimaat, digitalisering, diversiteit en inclusie. Zomaar een greep uit de uitdagingen waar wij als maatschappij voor staan. Deze uitdagingen vragen om een andere opzet van ons onderwijs in zowel vorm als breedte. Het onderwijs moet op zo’n manier vormgegeven worden dat de student optimaal ondersteunt wordt. De zone Evidence-informed onderwijsinnovatie met ICT formuleert in deze position paper hoe evidence-informed innoveren de kans op succesvolle innovaties in het onderwijs vergroot.

Infographic VR voor vaardighedenonderwijs
Benieuwd wat VR kan betekenen binnen jouw onderwijs? In deze infographic staat een stappenplan voor iedereen die aan de slag wil met VR in vaardighedenonderwijs. Je leest over de oriëntatie, voorbereiding, uitvoering en evaluatie van VR, inclusief de voordelen van VR voor vaardighedenonderwijs op een rij. Download de infographic hier.

Proeftuinen Evidence-informed & effectiviteit van onderwijsinnovaties
Wil je aan de slag met innovatie binnen je instelling? De zone Evidence-informed onderwijsinnovatie met ICT en de werkgroep Digitaal onderwijs in praktijkvaardigheden hebben twee proeftuinen ontwikkeld die je daarbij ondersteunen: de proeftuin ‘Evidence-informed onderwijsinnovatie’ en de proeftuin ‘Effectiviteit van onderwijsinnovaties’.

Beide proeftuinen overlappen in kennis en zijn aanvullend op elkaar, het zijn op elkaar volgende fasen in onderwijsinnovatie en ontwikkeling. Het werkpakket is een verzameling van onder andere: een handleiding, bijeenkomsten, voorbeelden en disseminatietips. Download de werkpakketten hier.

1 jaar pilot Microcredentials – wat hebben we geleerd? Een terugblik
Op 1 oktober 2021 ging de landelijke pilot Microcredentials van start. Tijd voor een reflectie! Bart Lamboo, projectleider van de pilot, neemt je in vogelvlucht mee langs 1 jaar Pilot Microcredentials. Wat hebben we geleerd? En hoe zetten we de volgende stap? Lees de blog hier.

Voorbereidingsfase Digitaliseringsimpuls Onderwijs verlengd
De voorbereidingsfase van de Digitaliseringsimpuls Onderwijs wordt met vier maanden verlengd. Het programma zal daarom niet op 1 januari starten, maar naar verwachting op 1 mei 2023. De verlenging van deze fase biedt ruimte om het programma goed voor te bereiden, in nauwe samenspraak met OCW. In de komende maanden neemt de programmaorganisatie de tijd om met de instellingen de start van het programma voor te bereiden. Deze voorbereidende werkzaamheden gebeuren onder leiding van de nieuwe programmadirecteur, Berent Daan, die op 1 januari begint. Op diezelfde datum start de nieuwe voorzitter van de stuurgroep, Lodewijk Asscher.

Door de tijd te nemen het programma zorgvuldig met elkaar voor te bereiden, kan het programma op 1 mei een vliegende start maken. In deze periode loopt een aantal pilots en projecten – van onder andere Doorpakken op digitalisering en het Versnellingsplan – door. Dit betreft pilots en projecten die direct bijdragen aan de doelstellingen van de Digitaliseringsimpuls Onderwijs.

Op 28 en 29 september 2023 organiseert Universiteiten van Nederland het festival UNLimited: de grensoverstijgende bijeenkomst voor iedereen die werkt in, met en voor universiteiten. Op het festival kun jij je twee dagen onderdompelen in actuele thema’s over alle aspecten van de universiteit, zoals de universiteit als motorblok van vooruitgang, de universiteit als broedplaats van talent, het huis van de universiteit en de universiteit als knooppunt van samenwerking. Hier bespreken we samen de toekomst van universiteiten in een tijdperk van grote transities. UNL nodigt je uit om je over de grenzen van je eigen vakgebied heen te laten inspireren door het onbekende. Bezoek voor meer informatie en deelname de website.

Dear reader,

With this mail, the very last newsletter of the Acceleration Plan drops in your mailbox. Four years of the Acceleration Plan will officially come to an end at the close of this month. We look back on four exciting years.

Many thanks to the colleagues in the institutions, the people who followed the Acceleration Plan, and those that worked with us. Together, we have put innovation in higher education in a higher gear. We wish you a lot of inspiration for 2023 and hope to see you again!

Digital Competence Indicator
The demand for digital competences is increasing in almost all professions. It is up to higher education institutions to ensure that students enter the labour market prepared and digitally competent, and give them the opportunity to continue to develop. To this end, the Digital Competence Indicator of the Strengthening Digital Human Capital zone: a tool to integrate digital competences in both educational and job profiles in the professional field. Take a quick look at what the Digital Competence Indicator can do for your programme.

Learning module Programmatic Assessment
Programmatic assessment is hot. But what exactly is it? How do you implement it and what does it involve? The programmatic assessment learning environment is intended for anyone who wants to know more about programmatic assessment or wants to get started with it. The online learning environment was developed under the editorship of Liesbeth Baartman, Tamara van Schilt-Mol, and Jan Berends in cooperation with the Remote Testing Working Group. Research Professional Development zone: Learn to Innovate
The Professional development of lecturers zone conducted research on how the zone's developed innovations have landed at the 16 educational institutions participating in the zone. Sustainability strategies for OERs
The zone Towards Digital (Open) Learning Resources has collected strategies from 16 projects from secondary vocational, higher education and academic institutions that were applied before, during and after such a project and that have contributed to making OER sustainable. Data journey platform for smarter use of education data
Which use of education data is relevant to you? For a student, the answer to this question is very different from that for an administrator, researcher or teacher. The Secure and reliable use of education data zone has therefore developed a platform where you can find examples of study data use, tailored to your role. Developing even better education: Position paper Evidence-informed
Energy transition, climate, digitalisation, diversity and inclusion. Just some of the challenges we face as a society. These challenges call for a different design of our education in both form and breadth. Education must be designed in such a way that the student is optimally supported. The zone Evidence-informed educational innovation with ICT formulates in this position paper how evidence-informed innovation increases the chances of successful innovations in education (Dutch only).

Infographic VR for practical skills education
Wondering what VR can do within your education? This infographic provides a roadmap for anyone wanting to get started with VR in skills education. You will read about the orientation, preparation, implementation and evaluation of VR, including a list of the benefits of VR for skills education. Download the infographic here (Dutch only).

Living labs Evidence-informed & effectiveness of educational innovations
Want to get started with innovation within your institution? The zone Evidence-informed educational innovation with ICT and the working group Digital education in practical skills have developed two living labs to support you in this: the living lab 'Evidence-informed educational innovation' and the living lab 'Effectiveness of educational innovations' (Dutch only).

Both living labs overlap in knowledge and are complementary; they are successive phases in educational innovation and development. The work package is a collection including: a manual, meetings, examples and dissemination tips. Download the work packages here.

1 year pilot Microcredentials: What have we learned? A reflection.

Preparation phase Digitalisation Catalyst extended
The preparation phase of the Digitalisation Catalyst will be extended by four months. The programme will therefore not start on 1 January, but is expected to start on 1 May 2023. The extension of this phase provides space to prepare the programme properly, in close consultation with OCW. In the coming months, the programme organisation will take the time to prepare the start of the programme with the institutions. This preparatory work will take place under the leadership of the new programme director, Berent Daan, who will start on 1 January. On the same date, the new chairman of the steering committee, Lodewijk Asscher, will start.

By taking the time to carefully prepare the programme together, the programme can get off to a flying start on 1 May. During this period, a number of pilots and projects - from Doorpakken op digitalisering and the Versnellingsplan, among others - will continue. These are pilots and projects that contribute directly to the objectives of the Digitalisation Impulse for Education.
