Halloween prep is in full swing with some properly impressive Halloween houses popping up already. Kids can party at The Ladies Mile and The Plough Inn (Rottingdean), paint Halloween Pottery at Rockwater, even Dance With The Undead Flashmob at Frighton Marina. We’ll all be carving some Samhain turnips next.

Mezcal is having a moment (or a couple of decades in my case). The clever folks at Burnt Orange have crafted a fabulous mezcal menu available for this week only. Fancy something different? Try Bar Valentino’s mezcal cocktails: Miss Rosa, Red Hot Yellow Peppers, Aclarado, or a Fear and Loathing at The Plotting Parlour (a personal favourite).
