Explore Fine Dining in Brighton, Things to Do in Brighton This Christmas and more
Hello Brighton,
We’re always shouting about how great the local food scene is, and here’s more solid proof that we’re right (we love being right!) Three of our very favourite restaurants have made the Harden’s Top 100 UK Restaurants 2024; Furna, etch. and The Little Fish Market.
Massive congratulations to Dave Mothersill, Steven Edwards, Duncan Ray, and their amazing teams - more lovely accolades to add to your ever-growing collections! |
Lean into the year end by Burning the Clocks on the 21st of December. This year’s theme is Voyager, commemorating the 30th anniversary of our local celebration of the winter solstice.
Whether you’re participating in the parade or watching from afar, we hope you enjoy every moment of this magnificent ritual. |
Fabulous dining igloos are dotted around the city, protecting us from the elements while allowing us to enjoy the magic of alfresco dining.
Tucked away in the heart of the Lanes is Coppa Club’s secret garden, where our new writer Noor found a cosy retreat and some tasty treats. |
One of the special things about food is its ability to transport you to another time and place - whether that’s to your childhood home or a fabulous holiday.
So I jumped at the chance to try Cin Cin’s Umbrian Feast. Don’t miss your next opportunity to explore the wonders of Italian regional cuisine from the comfort of Hove. |

Last week, we loved our festive get-together at terre à terre (take a peek here). Then revelled in an atmospheric visit to The Secret Vineyard, where fluffy sheep are tending the vines as part of their regenerative viticulture programme.
I met the super-friendly team at The Coconut Island (still 50% off the bill for bookings before the 14th of December) and was lucky enough to dine at El Bolillo. If you’re looking for a uniquely special treat, I really can’t recommend this place enough.
This weekend, Jude’s off to Helm for the launch of their new exhibition from the ‘Godson of Andy Warhol’, Philip Colbert, while I’ll be venturing out to Lewes for the Christmas Fair at Beak Brewery. I’ll also be icing my cake, but if I hadn’t made one, I might just pop over to Honey Cake by Mary to grab one of theirs…
Finally, here’s Nish from Majahma with the latest edition of The Dish, full of the insider knowledge you love!

All yours, sugar plum,
