The Scoop - November Edition, Festive Menus In Brighton and Beyond, What’s Happening In Brighton This Festive Season and more...
Hello Brighton!
Let’s just be clear, November is absolutely not the time to hibernate. We’re busy, tying up loose ends, making festive plans and getting in training for the party season. Though we might succumb to an Old Fashioned by a roaring hearth I suppose… Here’s The Scoop with our top 10 ideas for the month ahead.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Shelter Hall where the lights go on tonight (7th November). On 16th November, bring the family down to Brilliant Brighton’s festive afternoon. There’ll be gorgeous, twinkly window displays, carol singers and the big city-centre Christmas light switch-on. Book a cosy table somewhere tasty to complete the scene.

The RB elves have been busy wrapping up all the fabulous fun you can have this season into a pretty little package. From amazing local events and Christmas Lunches to stunning NYE menus and more, consider it our gift to you this season.

Banish the blues with a Sharing Roast for Two at Kindling - available both Sundays and Mondays! Served on slate, this feast features perfectly grilled Cote de Boeuf with goose-fat roasties, crisp yorkshire puddings, charred hispi cabbage and heritage carrots. A little copper pot of steaming, homemade red wine gravy completes the meal. We finished it all and ordered desserts too.

For a serious treat on 14th November, book Cin Cin’s La Festa, Umbria. A celebration of delicious regional dishes, the menu features seasonal delicacies like black truffle, wild boar, crown squash, wild mushrooms. Finish with a speciality ‘Castagnaccio’ chestnut cake, vin santo-soaked sultanas and vanilla cream. Mouth. Watering.

We’d argue that there’s nothing cosier than a November evening in a neighbourhood pub. We invited veteran pub-splorer - Brighton Beer Blogger - to Blakers Park where he found perfect pies and true romance in a corner of The Cleveland Arms. Oh and there may have been a few tasty pours too.

Congratulations to Apiary for winning Best New Venue in the Brighton Bar Awards and Knoops which won Best Chocolate in PETA’s Vegan Food Awards with its unmissable 38% oat milk hot chocolate available with vegan whipped cream.
Today we’ll visit The Metropole Bar for a preview of their new Festive Afternoon Tea (coming soon), Shelter Hall for the lights, Wild Flor to preview the festive menu, tomorrow, Helm to see the new Andy Doig exhibition. Now that might sound like hard work to some of you but trust me, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
Yours ready for anything…
Hannah and Team RB
