Water quality and quantity reports in the Netherlands

Two recent reports about the major rivers de Meuse (in Dutch: Maas) and the river Rhine (In Dutch: Rijn) show the need for improving our water management. The Maas reports concludes that both quality and quantity have decreased; while the Rhine report emphasise the increased importance of the Rhine for our drink water in the future.

It also contains the hopeful message that more medical doctors, and mainly the younger generation, are interested in the environmental impact of the treatments they prescribe.

The course will also be part introduction to personal leadership, exploring what is important to you, and hence talking about how to tackle any potential challenges you may face along the way. And you will meet other PhD candidates with which you will share a lot of the same experiences with.
