"There are some serious 'polder' consultations going on. All the opinions and visions are being weighed up. But whichever way you look at it: we have to reach agreement." |

| In his twenties, Alexander Soetens came to work at triple A company Johnson & Johnson via a circuitous route. "Great career opportunities and excellent working conditions. The pension was also excellent." That there are few questions coming from employees, now that a completely new set-up for the pension is coming, he finds "quite worrying". |

| Consultations on new scheme at crucial stage |
| Will we manage to finalise the design of the new pension scheme by the end of this year? "We hope so, but it is still a big challenge. Especially at the moment, some very important parts are still being tackled," explains Ron Verhulst, J&J's pensions manager in the Netherlands. |

| The employers Johnson & Johnson, the works councils and the J&J Pension Fund OFP are determining new pension arrangements under the new frameworks. For this purpose, an Employer+Employee (E+E) working group was set up in 2021. The first meeting was held in May the same year.
