Heritage Meets Sustainability
We were delighted to see Warksburn Old Church, dating back to 1875, featured on ITV News and celebrated for its remarkable transformation into one of the most energy-efficient buildings of its kind.
The transformation was made possible by Alan and Ann James, whose vision and commitment drove the regeneration of the church and brought this remarkable project to life.
Neil Carney, Head of Destination at Visit Northumberland, praised the project as a “magnificent asset for the Northumberland visitor economy,” highlighting how it blends exceptional sustainability with comfort, style, and deep respect for its heritage.
This inspiring redevelopment shows how historic architecture and modern green technology can come together to create a true Northumberland success story. |
