I defy you not to be excited about Sunday’s EURO 24 Final. I mean, even I’m excited, so…And we’ve got a whole day to enjoy (somewhat nervously) before the match at 20:00. So let’s first pick where you’ll be watching the final (no room for error here) then next, decide where to have lunch…
July isn't typically the high point for Sunday roasts, though this slightly soggy summer has offered a few days calling out for some warming comfort. This Sunday is looking set to be sunnier and a pre-match, stomach-lining, nerve-calming plate of loveliness will be in order.

If it's a pub you’re after you’ll find lighter options alongside roasts on some summer menus. For example, The Better Half is serving a new lamb kofta with salad and a mint dressing while The Farm in Hove has stacked summer baps served with crispy roasties on the side. A mouth-watering BBQ menu has taken over the Sunday slot at Kemptown’s Daddy Longlegs.

Deliciously deviating from the gastronomic norm...The Sunday roast sharing platter at Embers is loaded with seasonal ingredients, cooked over an open wood fire, to share with family and friends. Take a cooling swim at the iconic Saltdean Lido before dining at Deco. Domenica at Tutto is Sunday lunch Italian-style. Order a spritz on the terrace, sunglasses on, then take all afternoon to enjoy this sumptuous, four-course feast. The Sunday Rosti set is a plant-based winner at BRAVOS Best Restaurant terre à terre. If you haven’t tried it - do! Finally, at Brighton Marina’s gorgeous Malmaison you can also add your favourite roasty trimmings to any main. Something to chew on.

Whatever happens on Sunday, life will go on I suppose! So for something completely different, Rhys tried and LOVED the terre à verre menu at terre à terre, an ultra-creative weekday sharing experience best eaten on the restaurant’s secret alfresco terrace this summer.

In more news, The Chimney House, now in the hands of the awesome crew from The Cleveland Arms, is sporting an eclectic East-meets-West-style menu with something for everyone. Brittany and her friend filled their boots with flavour-packed food and tequila cocktails. Hello!
