Hello Brighton!

One thing we never really worry about is having enough to shout about. Here we are at the beginning, with a month of fabulous feasting spread out before us. Okay, you can’t do it all, but you gotta try! Here’s our Top 10 for March.

Like our Brittany said, ‘Everyone in Brighton is in the best mood because the sun is shining and the sea is a disco ball!’ Ain’t that the truth. It’s not quite time for alfresco dining yet - though some plucky types are braving it. While it warms up, Amit loves the island vibes, uplifting playlist and secret spice mix at The Coconut Island in Hove.

Great news for Albion fans! Two city favourites will be serving seriously superior snacks at the AMEX this season. Steven Edwards is launching BITES, a revved up fast food menu featuring dry-aged beef patties and hot dogs on Japanese milk bread subs. You’ll also find the much loved LOST BOYS CHICKEN on the terraces.

Where to Eat At The Amex

There isn’t really an ‘afternoon tea season’ but it does have quite a moment around Mother’s Day. For something a bit different, try Blossoms' Japanese-inspired Afternoon Tea featuring an elegant selection of sandōs, gyozas and maki. Go plant based at BRAVOS #1 Best Restaurant terre à terre or classic at The Grand, The Metropole Bar or Terra Restaurant.

Our International Women’s Day event was packed with amazing women from the local hospitality industry. The panel, chaired by the BBC’s Allison Ferns, shared their wealth of experience and insights. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.

We loved Team Brunch at Starfish and Coffee from chef Laura Karall. Seasonal and with sustainability in mind, her menu hits the brunch bullseye. The seasonal eggs with confit garlic yogurt, roast leeks and artichokes were a highlight.
