Hello Brighton!
Walking through Brighton today was such a joy; deep blue skies dotted with bright white clouds, framing a city in full bloom. Pavilion Gardens - which just weeks ago was frankly a bit of a mud bath - is bursting with glorious spring flowers. People are sitting outside, drinking coffee, reading the paper, nattering to friends while restaurants are setting up their pretty terraces. It won’t be long now…

The Brighton restaurant scene is also blossoming with new and exciting opportunities to indulge. Just opened on St James’s Street you’ll find mouthwatering thai at Namo X, Earl’s new store in Hove is faring well with queues for the city’s best Bahn Mi! There’s modern British cuisine at Tottington Manor’s gorgeous new Terra restaurant and the actual best focaccia this side of Genoa at ‘sweet and salty’ Caccia and Tails, new on Preston Road.
Deco Café - at Saltdean Lido - is open now for walk-ins, serving locally roasted coffee and an elevated brunch-style menu. A swish new restaurant is planned for later this year. And on the sun-drenched seafront, brand new Drifter offers wood-fired small plates to the sound of vinyl. Hold me back!

Torsten and friend had a little holiday from home at The BRAVOS’ Best Sussex Restaurant, Crabshack on the Worthing promenade. Sharing a generous platter of fresh seafood, prepared to perfection and served with soft bread and crisp white wine, the pair just loved the friendly vibe. And it’s only 24 minutes away apparently.
